Entering the awards 

  1. The awards are free to enter, and requires no payment in any form. 
  2. Entries must be made online (via the form, or via email at awards@soe.org.uk on occasions where the online form faces technical issues).  
  3. Please ensure answers to the category questions are submitted as a word document. 
  4. Only one submission must be made per category. Entrants are welcome to enter multiple categories, but where multiple submissions are made to a single category, only the first submission will be taken into consideration for judging. 

Making nominations:  

  1. For nominations only category, candidates must make sure they’re not self-nominating.  
  2. For ‘SOE Region’ and ‘SOE Volunteer’ categories, nominations are to be made by a current member of the SOE. 
  3. For the ‘future leader’ award, it can be a line manager, mentor or supervisor.  

Supporting documents: 

  1. The onus of checking the integrity of supporting evidence (whether that is images/graphics/PDFs/word documents/links etc.) lies with the entrant. SOE is not responsible for any file corruption that occurs during the uploading process.  
  2. If the online form poses any errors during the uploading process, please review the error message carefully and action accordingly.  
  3. If the uploading fails again despite fixing the issues, please email awards@soe.org.uk 

Judging process: 

  1. By submitting an entry, participants agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined by SOE. You can also view our Data and GDPR Policy here.  
  2. Your entries and related information will be shared with our judging panel for judging and our venue partner to process a smooth event operation at the awards lunch in October. 

Shortlisted entries: 

  1. If you’re shortlisted for an award or multiple awards, it’s your responsiblity to make travel and accommodation arrangements to the awards ceremony.
