QA International Certification Ltd, the National College for High Speed Rail (NCHSR) and Woldsway Training have all been announced as SOE corporate partners (CP).

The new CP scheme, launched earlier this year, has three levels: premium, core, affiliate. Each has several benefits: discounted rates on membership and application fees; reduced Engineering Council and Society for the Environment application fees; approval and certification of CPD and training courses; and inclusion on SOE’s approved CPD register.

Nigel Powley, Woldsway Training Managing Director, said: “We joined SOE as members during our time as lecturers at a large North East college. At the time we acknowledged the benefits of professional membership as two-fold; firstly, we saw the recognition of professional membership as a positive outcome from years of training and development; secondly, we were in a position to explain the benefits of membership to our students.

“Once we left the college environment and formed Woldsway Training, we saw the additional benefits of becoming corporate partners of SOE. It enhances our already high standing in the teaching community, gives us credence with our customers, and helps to prove that we are professional in our approach to what we deliver,” added Nigel.

QA International Certification Ltd is an accredited certification body that helps companies prove their corporate systems to existing and potential customers. It also provides management systems support with auditor and management training through its subsidiary QAIC (Training).

Michael Duffield, Business Development Manager at QA (Training), said: “We are proud to be associated with an accreditation as prestigious as the one provided by SOE.

“The SOE Core Partner scheme is an opportunity that everybody at QA International is looking to take forward under its training division, for the promotion of good practice through CPD, and in support of SOE aims and objectives,” said Michael.

NCHSR is a provider of training services and work experience for students. Its campuses in Birmingham and Doncaster offer full time engineering courses, degrees and apprenticeships.

Charles Anderson, Head of Curriculum Development at NCHSR, said: “NCHSR is delighted to become a Corporate Partner of SOE. Collaboration with a well-respected professional body will benefit our learners by enabling them to achieve professional recognition alongside their courses.”
